FAQ
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so two days prior to your appointment. Appointments canceled the day before will be subject to a fee equal to 50% of the session cost. Appointments canceled on the day of the appointment or no-shows will be charged the full amount. If you are sick, have a personal or family emergency, or another reasonable extenuating circumstance, then I will not charge you a cancellation fee. Situations where you forgot you had a work meeting or otherwise misscheduled the appointment will not be eligible for fee exemption.
Payment/ Insurance / HSA /
Invoice for reimbursement
-
Payment can be made by check or cash (preferred) or by venmo if you do not have access to the first two options.
-
I do not accept insurance.
-
I can provide you an itemized invoice for you to submit to your insurance company or your HSA for reimbursement.
Sliding Scale Treatment Fees
My goal is to make sure you get the care you need at a rate that does not create undue stress in your life. If you feel stressed about the cost of treatment, that is antithetical to the purpose of your visit. I hold a limited number of spots per week for sliding scale patients and will be happy to work with you to find a rate that will allow you to come in as you need without stressing your finances. Please contact me prior to booking your session if you would like to pursue this option.
What Wear
As sessions often involve moving around, please wear loose comfortable clothing. No denim, spandex or other restricting garments. No thick sweaters or stiff fabrics. Ideal treatment garments would be a tank top or T-shirt and running shorts.
Masking Policy
-
I am requiring masks in the office during treatment. We will be in an enclosed space together for an hour or more at a time and this will reduce the risk of spreading all of the various pathogens floating around our world. If you have a condition that prevents you from wearing a mask (asthma, etc.), I will ask that you take a home covid test the morning of your session. You will not be charged a cancellation fee if your test results are positive. If you are having any other cold or flu-like symptoms prior to the appointment, please contact me. If you are sick, you will not be charged a cancellation fee.
After Treatment Guidelines
-
Generally, it is best to have a restful day after treatment. If possible, avoid strenuous exercise or long drives. You may be given “homework” exercises to do. It is highly recommended you follow through on any home care recommended to you during or after the treatment for maximum effectiveness.
-
Drink plenty of water.
-
Avoid excessive screen time, especially on the phone.
-
Good activities to do are ones that you find calming for your nervous system.
